a doctor in houston, texas, is developing a way to grow vaccines in bananas and other fruits...

Happy 4th of July weekend to everyone. Hooray for independence and all that. I've been really busy lately, as usual. My grandfather had a serious stroke and is in the hospital right now trying to recover. He was originally in a hospital in Nashville, Arkansas. When I found out what happened I made a mad dash down south to see him there. Man, did that hospital suck! It almost seemed like it was abandoned (much like the town of Nashville itself). I found out that they have now moved Pop to a hospital in Hot Springs, which is probably 10 times better at least. He's a strong fellow and I know he's going to try his hardest to get through this, but it's still tough when you're 93 years old. I really don't want to think about getting old and having things like strokes and heart attacks. Sometimes I think those things are inevitable though.

On a happier note, I'm now in the process of moving again. I slept at my new place last night, although I wasn't exactly prepared for it. I left my socks and underwear at my old house. There are still quite a few large things to move from the old place, like couches, shelves, a big TV, and a washer/dryer. It looks like I'll probably be spending this weekend doing that. I have to get it all finished soon. Living out of boxes and having things disorganized drives my obsessive compulsive mind absolutely nuts.
